SAXON 2018. Following the critically acclaimed release of 'Battering Ram' in 2015, the heavy metal giants are set to release their latest studio album, Thunderbolt, on February 2nd via the Militia Guard label (Silver Lining Music). The new album Thunderbolt will feature original Artwork by long time Saxon collaborator Paul Raymond Gregory. "This is album 22 and it's called Thunderbolt. SAXON will be joined by fellow English rockers DIAMOND HEAD and metal trio ROCK GODDESS will be performing on the scheduled UK dates, with very Special Guests MAGNUM on the UK Hull date only. However, SAXON doesn't stop there - dates for Thunderbolt Tour Part 2 will be announced in early 2018. The LP is in a high gloss gatefold sleeve. The opaque red disc has picture labels and is held in a picture inner sleeve of top opening gloss card.
The CD album is in a gloss Digipak with a clear tray. There is a pocket containing a twenty page staple bound booklet. The pocket is printed black inside.
The bonus CD is in a side opening card sleeve.
The cassette is in a fully clear case. The black shell has a finely textured border, screw anchorage and paper labels. There is an inset tape counter beneath the window. Black spools. Includes an eight page J-card inlay.
There is a textured box containing a painted cast pin badge.

This tight, consistent and damn entertaining box set is honestly good enough to be both up there with the best Saxon material but up there with the best Heavy Metal material coming out at the moment. Highly recommended
